Protecting the garage floor is becoming an essential item on a homeowner’s maintenance list. As older homes that have garages with concrete floors have aged it became obvious that something would need to be done to protect the garage floor. There are many different types of masonry stains available to choose from. This is an inexpensive solution that will help protect your garage floors. Application of masonry stain on your garage floors is also fairly easy to accomplish. Most people that would prefer to stain the floor themselves rather than hire someone to do it will have no problem if the directions are followed.

Rubber garage flooring is an alternative way to protect you garage floor. Depending on what type of rubber flooring you select you may be able to install it yourself. Some rubber floors simply get laid on top of the concrete garage floor which makes installation a breeze. These tough floors help to protect your garage floor for years to come.

If you have chosen to protect your garage floor with epoxy paint you might be worried about flaking of the epoxy. If you have added color chips to your epoxy paint you have created a stronger bond in the paint itself which is half of the battle. Color chips in epoxy paint help to really make your garage floor look beautiful and it is harder to successfully touchup this type of floor without it looking obvious that you did it. One way to keep your epoxy paint looking great is to add a layer of vinyl that is clear in color over top of it. This will keep your beautiful epoxy floors looking great while helping to protect the quality of your garage floor.
