Regular paint, whether it is oil or latex based, will not hold up under the typical conditions that a garage will see. Tires that are hot from driving will badly damage pain that is not epoxy based. Another alternative to finish your garage floor is to cover it with rubber. Rubber flooring is a great alternative to epoxy paint but often times will cost much more. The bonus of using rubber flooring is that preparation time is greatly minimized. Rubber flooring in your garage is also a great way to really make the area more interesting. Tiles also are a great way to finish your garage floors. By using tiles to protect your garage floor you can create a basic standard look with one color or you can use tiles in different colors to create a design on your garage floor. One great way to finish your garage floors with tiles is to create a checkerboard pattern with them. This can help create a trophy room feeling to help you show off a beloved car. Whatever you choose, tiling over your floor is an easy way to protect the concrete that lies beneath.
